Indoor Soccer Trivia
- Edmonton hosts an indoor Mini World Cup each year, pitting players of different heritage (players of various descents like Polish, Croatian, English, Nigerian, etc...) from the city against each other in an often times testy tournament.
- A Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League began in January of 2008, with the Edmonton Drillers winning the first championship.
- The league announced it would join the Professional Arena Soccer League for 2009-10. There are teams from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico in the league.
- Many cities throughout Canada have buildings specifically built for indoor soccer. I personally will take the better weather over an indoor soccer arena, but it would be nice.
- At Euro 2008, more than 1,800 people stripped naked and played soccer at a major stadium. This has nothing to do with indoor soccer, but I thought you should know.
Indoor Soccer
The indoor version of “the beautiful game” is fast-paced and full of opportunities to put a touch on the ball and your mark on the game.
The Comox Valley indoor soccer league will help you stay in shape, while staying warm, over the colder months and get you ready for the outdoor spring and summer seasons. The indoor soccer/futsal league is open to players and teams from Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland, Campbell River and other surrounding areas.
Registration
Click the applicable icon below to sign up and pay league fees for a team or individual. For small groups, each player should fill out an individual form and mention their friends in the "friends" box, and pay the league fees. We'll take care of you from there. Have fun!
Subs can also contact us and be put on our wait list after the season starts, but with no guarantee of playing.
